Rockville General now operates as a campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital. Both were acquired by Hartford HealthCare on January 1, 2026, from bankrupt Prospect Medical Holdings.
The emergency department remains open around the clock — Connecticut's Office of Health Strategy requires 24/7 operation as a condition of the ownership transfer. Inpatient medical/surgical and intensive-care services were consolidated to the Manchester campus, and Hartford HealthCare has announced plans to reopen a 30-bed behavioral-health unit at Rockville.
Because the campus now operates under Manchester Memorial's Medicare certification, CMS publishes its quality ratings under Manchester Memorial Hospital rather than separately for Rockville.
